Meet Our Staff

Head Coach Jenn Secrest

Coach Jenn has been on the Piranhas’ coaching staff since 2014 and has served as head coach since 2017. Jenn has been swimming since the age of 7 and swam competitively throughout high school. She understands the hard work and dedication swimming entails and enjoys bringing out the competitiveness of each swimmer to help them achieve their goals. Outside of coaching Jenn keeps busy with her active family and has been a teacher for 22 years.  She currently teaches special education at Pointview Elementary school in Westerville City Schools. Her coaching philosophy is that every swimmer deserves a chance to improve in a safe and friendly environment.  Jenn also coached at Buckeye Swim Club for 2 years as an assistant.  She is currently the assistant coach at Westerville South High School.

Assistant Coach Emma Secrest

Coach Emma has been on the Piranhas' coaching staff since 2019.  Prior to coaching Emma was a Piranha swimmer for 6 years, would have been 7 if her senior season was not cancelled.  She is a student at Wittenberg University, class of 2024.  She plays soccer at Wittenberg and is a nursing major with a focus in pediatrics.  From the age of 7 to 17,  she grew up competitively swimming, until deciding to focus on soccer.  Annehurst swim team has a special place in her heart, it allows her to share the passion she still has for swimming by coaching all of the Piranhas each year.  Emma loves to pass on tips and tricks to help kids learn new strokes and build on the ones they already know.  Summer swim team was always fun, yet competitive, time growing up and she strives to continue that same environment at Annehurst for all the swimmers.

Assistant Coach Jack Kielmeyer

Coach Jack has been on the Piranhas' coaching staff since 2021 and was a Piranha swimmer for 10 years.  Jack is a student at Baldwin Wallace University, class of 2025.   He is a breaststroker on the Baldwin Wallace Swim & Dive team with an undecided major.  Jack started swimming competitively at the age of 9 and found enough joy in it to compete at the collegiate level.  He finds joy in coaching because it gives him an outlet for the otherwise useless knowledge he has for teaching others how to swim.
